Ideas for the Groom

When thinking back at a wedding, the things that usually come to mind are the bride, the food and the venue. Rarely does the groom take centre stage. But a wedding celebration just wouldn’t be the same without a dashing groom, right?

Here are a few tips to make the groom feel special on his wedding day:

Dress to impress //
Spend enough time with the groom before the wedding to plan his outfit carefully. Give attention to detail – tie, socks, cufflinks, belt, shoes, etc. This will make him feel polished and dapper on his big day.

Special gift //
Leave the groom a little surprise gift and a handwritten note on the morning of the wedding. This will make him enter the day feeling special and loved.

Time in front of the lens //
Make sure the photographer gets enough snaps of the groom. Make him feel comfortable by doing a few couple shots first then gradually ease him into alone time in front of the lens.

Compliments //
While the bride gets showered with compliments on her wedding day, the groom often gets overlooked. Make a point of it to tell your hubby how handsome he looks a few times during the day.
