Nothing says rustic better than nature. An easy way to carry through your wedding theme would thus be to use as many natural elements as you can get your hands on. Think olive branches, crisp natural linens, organic textures and rustic florals. The key is to let nature set the tone – don’t overthink it, don’t over-style it. Easier said than done, you think? A winning combination, that we found to always wow the crowd, is eucalyptus, white ranunculus, lisanthius, some olive leaves, and if you can get hold of them, a few white peonies. Whatever blooms and greenery you decide on, opt for arrangements, wreaths and bouquets that are loose and relaxed.

As far as other details go, make the most of organic, natural textures. Raw wood tables and chairs, barrels as drink stations, crushed linen napkins in neutral shades, hay bales covered with soft blankets, plant seeds in little hessian bags as guest favours and the wedding cake decorated with sprigs of rosemary from the garden. To tie all the details together, stick to a natural colour palette – think sage, sand, soft greys and off-whites.

We bet you’ll look back on your wedding photos in a few year’s time, thankful that you kept it simple, rustic and classic!
